Follow the below guidelines to understand what should be printed first.
Always finish current day work before moving to the next day's work.
Priority jobs (Red jobs on the Job Sections board)
Kiss Cut (KC) Jobs ("Die Cut Stickers") These should be printed first as they take the longest to cut. This includes laminate and kiss cut work.
Laminate Jobs (Hover over "Operations" in the Job Section Board to see if LAM specified) Laminate Jobs Should be ran early in the day so the finishing operator can run most of them at the same time. (this is includes all laminate jobs including Zund) Zund and Kiss cut KC jobs must be rotated 180° prior to printing.
Retractor (BF) & Bumper Sticker (SF) Jobs Both have a similar finishing time and should be printed next.
Big Fotoba (BF) Jobs (Paper, Posters, Large Format Stickers) Should be done after the above jobs are done. Alternatively use one printer to run the BF jobs while using the other printer for smaller quantity higher priority jobs.
Zund Jobs (Backlit, Paper, Posters, Stickers) should be done after all other finishing methods are printed as these are usually cut last by the finishing team.
Future Jobs can be run once current day & next day jobs are printed. An exception may be that the job requires special circumstances e.g. large KC jobs due in two days that require multiple rolls to be printed.
When Running a single job across multiple rolls, please use the Tracking sheet.
Print the 'Production Job Bag' ticket that will follow the job.
Check the Output as it is coming out of the printer. This must be done for every job! (References are below)
Once Jobs are running on the Colorados, don't forget to mark the job off the board.
Do not rely solely on the job board, as the prepress team may override the listed finishing method.
Review the file name carefully; it typically includes the specified finishing method.
