We process two primary types of print jobs: Cores (prints longer than 14 meters) and Panels (prints up to and including 14 meters).
Full Width Jobs: These jobs match the exact width of the Banner Mesh stock, either 1800mm or 1600mm.
Slit Jobs: These jobs are narrower than the standard Banner Mesh width (e.g., 1750mm, 1700mm, 1500mm, 1400mm, etc.) and are trimmed to size during printing.
Prioritize jobs with the closest due dates to ensure timely delivery.
Once urgent jobs are cleared, proceed with future-dated work.
Overnight runs are managed differently; it is preferred to run a clean (full roll) dual-load or single-load setup rather than doing part loads.
Avoid slit jobs for overnight runs where possible as there is the risk of crashing / sensor triggering by the slit off-run waste.
Standard Rule: Always print Cores first, followed by Panels.
Exception – Slit Jobs:
When printing slit jobs (jobs requiring the roll to be cut to a narrower width), follow this order instead:
Run full-width jobs first (i.e., jobs that use the original roll width).
Then run slit-width jobs, even if the slit job is a Core.
This order supports the finishing team’s workflow, as it is easier for them to adjust from narrower (e.g., 1500mm) to wider (e.g., 1600mm) widths — from the outside to the inside of the roll — rather than the reverse.
⚠️ Important: Once a run begins, ensure that the print is correctly centred on the roll. You can confirm this in two ways:
Verify that the double black line spans from edge to edge at the start of the run.
Use a tape measure to confirm that the distance from the edge of the roll to the printed colour is 30mm.
If running dual prints with two different roll widths (e.g., 1600mm and 1800mm), always load the wider roll in Position 2.
Maintain a distance of 0.148m between artworks for each unit quantity (#qty).
